This month NEBA welcomes Brewster Bevis, president of Associated Industries of Florida. He will be discussing the 2022 state legislative session and its impact on business.
Brewster was named president of AIF in a unanimous decision by the AIF Board of Directors in August 2021, and assumed the role of president and chief executive officer on January 1, 2022. He joined AIF in 2011 as vice president of external affairs and was subsequently promoted to senior vice president of state and federal affairs in 2013.
Prior to joining AIF, Brewster served as senior director of legislative affairs for the Associated Builders and Contractors’ national office. He also worked in Congress for several years and is a former presidential appointee in the Bush administration. Brewster attended Florida State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in international affairs.
